Original Talking Heads promotional poster for their fourth studio album ‘Remain in Light’ released on 8 October 1980. The artwork was conceived by Tina Weymouth [bass] and Chris Franz [drums] with the help of Walter Bender and his MIT media lab team. The red war planes flying over the Himalayas are an artistic depiction of Grumman Avenger planes in honour of Weymouth’s father Ralph Weymouth who was an Admiral in the US navy. The rest of the artwork was crafted by graphic designer Tibor Kalman.
