Rare Original ‘In Watford’ Poster designed by the celebrated poster artist Edward McKnight Kauffer [1890- 1954] for London Underground. The serene depiction entices travellers on London’s Underground to explore outer London.
Kauffer was born in the USA and moved to London in 1914 where he was commissioned in 1915 by Frank Pick to design his first poster for London Underground. This is believed to be his first poster for LU.
Condition: Good- linen backed, minor light creasing to image.
