1971 Second Print Big O, Hendrix poster. The artwork entitled ‘Explosion’ was painted by Australian artist Martin Sharpe. The image is based on a photograph taken by Linda McCartney at the Rhiengold Festival in Central Park, NY, July 1967. This poster is the 2nd print. The rarer and more expensive first print is the 1969 OZ silkscreen promo poster. This version was printed shortly after Hendrix’s death. The UK & USA addresses pictured are found on the second version. The poster featured on the front of Mick Farren’s book ‘Get on Down: A Decade of Rock and Roll Posters.’ Book pictured for illustration purposes. Not included in the sale.
