Original 1975 TWA poster celebrating the 1929 inaugural Transcontinental Air-Rail Service flight from New York to Los Angeles by its predecessor Transcontinental Air Transport [T-A-T]. TWA was formed on July 16, 1930 following a forced merger between T-A-T and Western Air Express. TWA ceased to operate in 2001.
